This marks the country’s sixth time receiving this high honor (following victories in 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023, and 2024), a resounding affirmation of its enduring appeal, rich history, and profound commitment to preserving its natural and cultural assets.

The recognition underscores the success of the nation’s efforts to conserve its nine world natural and cultural heritage sites, 15 intangible cultural heritage elements, and 10 documentary heritage items, which collectively form the foundation of the brand “Vietnam – The Timeless Charm.”

This year’s WTA Grand Final also saw several Vietnamese local destinations shine on the global stage, earning individual titles of Moc Chau Plateau, Son La Province – World’s Leading Natural Destination; Dong Van Karst Plateau, Tuyen Quang Province- World’s Leading Regional Cultural Destination; Tam Dao Town-  Phu Tho Province – World’s Leading Town Destination; and Bai Kem Beach on Phu Quoc Island – World’s Leading Regional Beach.

This repeated global acclaim not only reinforces Vietnam’s position as one of Asia’s most heritage-rich destinations but also acknowledges the dedicated efforts by local authorities to conserve natural and cultural assets.

Vietnam is proud to be home to nine UNESCO World Natural and Cultural Heritage Sites, featuring iconic locations such as Ha Long Bay, the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, and the Complex of Hue Monuments.

The country has 15 elements recognized as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, preserving living traditions like Ca tru or Vietnamese chamber music, Dan ca tai tu or southern Vietnamese folk music and song, among others.

Complementing these are 10 documentary heritage items inscribed on the UNESCO Memory of the World Register.
