Preserving order for the celebrations

Hoan Kiem District authorities have ramped up efforts to ensure cleanliness, regulate traffic, and maintain order throughout the holiday period.

Vietnam’s Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs has designated the National Day holiday from August 31 to September 3, granting civil servants four consecutive days off.

A cultural hub in Hanoi

Since its inception in 1997, the pedestrian zone around Hoan Kiem Lake has become a symbol of Hanoi’s vibrant culture. Spanning over 25 streets in the Old Quarter, the zone operates from Friday evening to Sunday midnight, offering a unique blend of cultural activities and leisure.

The pedestrian area not only boosts tourism but also fosters a dynamic lifestyle for residents while showcasing Hanoi’s heritage as a UNESCO City for Peace.
